G’s Ramblings

The Last Story finally coming to North America?!

In case you didn’t know, there’s a fan campaign going around where a bunch of “angry” Japanese RPG enthusiasts are persuading Nintendo of America to localize 3 exclusive role-playing games for the Wii: Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower. All 3 games have been confirmed for a European release about a month ago, and yes that includes having English as one of the languages you can pick. Europe loves her J-RPG fans in short.

Nintendo of America’s response to the whole she-bang? “…there are no plans currently” or I so heard, which by the way translates to a Stormtrooper saying “Move along… move along”. Personally, I find this very annoying because this generation could use some high quality Japanese RPGs, for consoles at least.

NEW Amazing Spider-Man Photos

Via GeekTyrant and Entertainment Weekly.

Oh welp it’s true: silver shoes confirmed. While this has been bothering me (well just a tad bit and not so greatly) since the spy photos; I’m still being optimistic about it. Why? Because we have yet to see Andrew Garfield –plus whoever’s the stunt dude– in motion with the costume, the poses and everything! And by motion, I meant actual movie clips and not some random, stalking YouTube videos. I heard that the teaser trailer will debut next week and it’ll be attached with the Captain America movie. Yes… oh yes I cannot wait.

BREAKING: “SUPER” Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to be announced soon?

The very same person who leaked the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster last year (hacker-alias lupinko) has hinted that Capcom might announce the supposed “Super” Marvel vs. Capcom 3 update at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

The update will –you guessed it!–  have a couple of goodies and so on. “Capcom you…. bastard!”

Ever wondered why Capcom didn’t announce or talk any MvC3 DLC details (or even any Marvel related stuff) at Captivate a few months back, or even at E3? That’s because they’re planning to release a souped-up version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in 2012 with more characters, moves, balances and tweaks similar to (obviously) Super Street Fighter IV. Commence the hate now because the economy today, let’s face it, is a bitch and I personally don’t think it’s a very wise idea to relieve the old cartridge days of double (or even triple) dipping Capcom fighting titles. Sure, cartridges back then where way more expensive compared to discs, but it was generally a different era.

2 Games at E3 2011 That We Should Keep an Eye on

I’ve mentioned some games on LostLevel’s recently recorded podcast that may sound bizarre to a handful of people, if not a little expletive with “what kind of a dumb name is that” echoing on different corners. Can’t blame those guys really since I would’ve been on the same boat as well. Well, “ish” because I have been more opened minded with games (and movies) lately over the last 3-5 years.

Anyway– it’s a shame because these 2 games I played at E3 last week, which I’ll be mentioning in bit, had this unique and fresh-y experience, quote-and-quote, oppose to your usual “dudebro” games.
